Rulebook

In-Game Rules:

1. Backup goalies must start at least 12 matches per season.

2. No players on the draft list will be able to be signed even if they are overagers.

3. NZT can only be used on two lines not with your best players (2nd to 4th). Teams breaking this will have there lines computerized the first time. Warned the second. After that dismissal will be considered for the GM.

4. Hit and grind is limited to one line (3rd or 4th) and cannot have your best players on it. No longer then 70 secs. Teams breaking this will have there lines computerized the first time. Warned the second. After that dismissal will be considered for the GM.

5. R & G can only be used on two lines combined for 110 secs. Teams breaking this will have there lines computerized the first time. Warned the second. After that dismissel will be considered for the GM.

6. NT will be allowed in the league. However, if a GM quits after giving a NTC to a player which the new GM wants to trade, the No-Trade-Claude can be waived for 5 millions per year remaining on the contract. Please dont ask to make a 5 year contract if the game only allows a two year. PO, TO, TWC can be given to the same player.

7. Tanking will not be allowed at all in the league. A tanking committee will be created and will be made up of 5 GMs. This committee will look at the bottom 10 teams at random times to make sure they are doing their best to win matches (i.e. not playing 6 65 OA guys when there are 70 OA guys in the UFA). If a GM is considered to be tanking the league management will discuss it amongst themselves and talk to the GM with a warning. If the GM continues to tank he will be fired.

8. Activity is very important to the league and we want a league with healthy teams and active GM's. Therefore if a GM does not send in at least one instruction in a 10 day period he will be considered inactive unless he has notified the league in advance. The GM will receive a warning about activity the first time. If the problem continues the GM will receive one more warning. Third time is a strike out the GM will be fired. If you don’t have any changes to make, send an email to the league saying entitled: Team Name – No Changes.

9.CON drops:

- You have 2 sims to report the drop. If the drop is not reported in 2 sims, the drop will be permanent.
- Player between age of 17-20 yrs, NO DECREASE.
- 21-24 yrs, decrease 20% of the current drop
- 25-31 yrs, decrease 35% of the current drop
- 32 and older, full drop stays
*fractions will be dropped*

10. The league reserves the right to dismiss a GM at anytime.

11. League Salary cap at 75 millions.

General Rules:

The Message Board:

- When signing up for the message board please choose a name that has your team in the title. Use any name you want but please include at least your teams initials.
- Press release do not affect your activity, but it's always nice to read about other teams success or rivalry.
- When making a trade make sure to be very clear in which players, picks, and $$$ are going where. Post each player’s CON for CON drops. Try to include full names when prospects or farmers are being moved. GM’s can comment on trades that aren’t theirs if they don’t think a trade is fair.

The Trade Review Board:

- The league has a Trade Review Board that will review each trade. It consists of 5 members of the league (3 commishes and 2 GMs ) who vote to reject or accept each trade. If a trade receives 3 reject or 3 accept votes it is automatically rejected or put through in whichever case.
- No complaining or disrespectful conduct towards the trade board will not be tolerated and could result in instant dismissal.
- Decisions of the Trade Review Board will be final.

The Injury Review Board:

- The league will have a Injury Review Board who will look to award players of the league suspensions. It will consists of a group of 5 members of the league (3 commishes and 2 GMs ), that will decide whether of not that player(He needs to be posted by the GM who wants the players to get a suspension) needs to be suspended and for how many matches.
- No complaining or disrespectful conduct towards the injury board will not be tolerated and could result in instant dismissal.
-The average of the members decision will be the suspension given, fractions will be dropped.
- No decision will be overturned.

Sending Changes and Simming:

- All changes that you want done to your team must be sent to NCH League Email to be inputted.
* The league will start with 2 sims per week until a 3rd commish is found.
- The sims will be 3 times a week, any changes sent before 6 PM Eastern on the day of the sim will be put in that day. (Sims will probably be on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday around 10 PM Eastern).
- The sims are 7 regular season days and 4 playoff days per sim.

UFA Draft Rules:

1. Signing bonus for the whole UFA period cannot exceed more then 8 millions per team. So you only have 8 million to spread around how ever many players you choose to sign.
2. Only the highest offer will be entered (see Formula). If two teams offer the same contract, it will go to a dice roll. Each team will be given a number and that number will be used in the Dice Roll. It automatically sends an email to each GM saying which number was picked and every GM included will be emailed the results.
3. Please submit each UFA in a separate e-mail with the players name in the subject line. E-mails with more then one player in them will be deleted.
4. UFA will be closed bidding.
5. No undrafted players will be allowed to be taken in UFA.
6. Players signed during the UFA period will not be allowed to be traded before the trade deadline.

Formula:

Contract Value X Contract Length + Signing Bonus = Total Contract Value

Example:

2 Million x 3 years + 2 Mill signing bonus = Total Contract Value is 8 Million

** NTC, PO, TO and TW do not count towards the formula, however will be included with the winning GM’s offer.

P.S. Only the highest contract will be entered.

Drafts:

The next 3 will drafts will always be known ahead, for example;

2010 draft: 20 pot 9s, 30 pot 8s, 70 pot 7s;
Looks to be a more defensive draft, with highly touted defensemen and goalies.

2011 draft: 12 pot 9s, 26 pot 8s, 98 pot 7s;
Nothing too special in this draft however a lot of depth available. Lots of gritty forwards and some decent playmakers available.

2012 draft: 1 pot 10, 26 pot 9s, 29 pot 8s, 78 pot 7s;

Created Players:

1 created player per GM, if a gm quits and is replaced, the replacement gm will be given a choice to rename his created guy, or create a 17-18 yr old of himself and watch him grow.

Cannot be used on newly drafted players, as this happens during preseason.
Cannot be used on created players.

8 choices, 3 picks. A, B and C cannot go to the same player and B and C cannot be used more then once. D, E, F and G are available even if the player has already been given A, B or C.

Player Re-Assessments:

5 guys per team – with valuable sources proving the changes ( Hockey’s Future ratings/profile, NHL profile/stats, career stats, etc ).

Team Draft:

Each GM rolls a 30-sided die from Here
The result rolled will be the GM's draft spot.

The website will automatically send the league the results. If 2 GMs roll the exact same results, a 2 sided die will be rolled with each GM being assigned a side, the winner will have the pick while the loser will have the spot after, any other GMs who hold picks after that spot will be bumped down.

Team drafting won’t take place before at least 24 GMs have signed up, if new GMs join after it has taken place, then they will pick from a team available.

Player of the Week

2 goals and 4 assists for 6 points in 3 GP.

Player of the Month

11 goals and 9 assists for 20 points in 12 GP.
